Ok, so let's get this out of the way -- we all bought mood rings, feared bees and fell head-over-heels in love with Anna Chlumsky after watching (and obsessively rewatching) My Girl in 1991. But Chlumsky's most recent gig, as Amy Brookheimer on HBO's Veep, is equally worthy of your compulsive viewing.
And having seen four episodes from the new season (premiering Sunday at 10 p.m.), I can say that Veep is faster, funnier and more focused in its second outing as it expands upon the character's personal lives and makes Vice President Selina Meyer (played with a deliciously delusional determination by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) more cunning and less clueless.
I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Anna Chlumsky and, after commiserating about having impossible to spell surnames, she broke down what fans can expect from Amy in season two!
Veep premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. on HBO.
