Watch our back-to-back clips from the classic show that starred Clayton Moore as The Lone Ranger and Jay Silverheels as Tonto, running from 1949 to 1957, when the dusty western was hugely popular and the masked rider on a white horse was king of the gunslinging heroes. A novelty from the Golden Age of Television, The Lone Ranger and Tonto delivered swift justice in the Old West, and it's fun to see Moore's pistol-swinging skills at work and the over-the-top performances of the supporting players that kids of all ages lapped up.

This week, three all-new classic Lone Ranger DVD singles are available -- The Lone Ranger: Hi-Yo Silver, Away!, The Lone Ranger: Kemo Sabe, and The Lone Ranger: Who Was That Masked Man? -- while a special limited Collector's Edition set for the ultimate fan will arrive June 4 featuring all five complete seasons of the classic TV show (221 episodes on 30 DVDs) in a box set that also includes two full-length features, a complete episode guide, the original radio broadcast from 1950, a rare comic book and a photo reprint.
