"We're honored to have been a part of the 243 interventions since its premiere in March of 2005, leading to the 156 individuals that are currently sober to this day," David McKillop, Executive Vice President of Programming for the network, said in a statement.

A&E said the show's final season will feature some of the most intense stories in the history of the series. The premiere episode will introduce viewers to heroin addict Jessica, a 29-year-old Chicago woman squatting in an abandoned house with no electricity or running water.
