TV Land's One 'Hot' Summer Night

Mark your calendars for June 19! TV Land's unprecedented evening lineup will debut the season premiere of not one, not two, but three of the cable network's original shows including Hot In Cleveland, The Exes and The Soul Man. ET caught up with a few of the stars at the shooting of TV Land's summer promo and got the inside scoop of what fans can soon expect.

Hot In Cleveland follows the zany and hilarious antics of three fabulous LA women and best friends of a certain age -- Valerie Bertinelli , Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick -- who unexpectedly begin a new life in Cleveland, Ohio all while battling their sassy property manager, played by TV legend Betty White.

And in case things weren't hot enough in Cleveland, on the June 19 premiere of the show's Season 5, fans can expect a twist on the sitcom -- the episode will be streamed live.
"I love live. There's an excitement and adrenaline that just doesn't happen any other place," White told ET.

"I think there should be a drinking game during our live show that whoever messes up first has to suck down a beer or whatever," adds Valerie Bertinelli, as the ladies discussed their fear of messing up lines under the pressure of performing live.

"One day Valerie said 'Well what if I screw up?' and I said that 'would please the audience.' That's the very thing they pray for," said White.

In the TV promo, which places cast members from the three shows at a faux press conference, when asked why the gals are doing a live show, the former Golden Girl eloquently says, "Because we're bad-asses, that's why!"

The season premiere episode will also welcome a guest appearance from Star Trek legend William Shatner and will open where the winter finale left off -- with Joy (Jane Leeves) discovering what Elka (White) and Mamie (Georgia Engel) have been up to, which involves mobsters, mistaken identities, and plenty of twists and turns.

But the surprises don't end there. The cast divulged how great it was to work with surprise guests and Hollywood legends like Carol Burnett, who plays Victoria's mother (Wendie Malick) in an upcoming episode, and White's former castmates from The Mary Tyler Moore show, for an episode that will air in September.

"The best thing for Valerie and Wendie and I is to just sort of sit back when Betty's friends come to visit and listen to the stories," said Leeves.

Entering its second season, The Soul Man stars Cedric The Entertainer as Reverend Boyce 'The Voice' Ballantine -- a famous R&B singer-turned-preacher -- and Niecy Nash, who plays his wife Lolli, in this Hot In Cleveland spinoff. And the third season of The Exes brings back Scrubs star Donald Faison as a womanizing divorcee named Phil Chase who lives with two other recently divorced men.

Hot In Cleveland airs June 19 on TV Land at 10 p.m. EST, followed by The Exes at 10:30 p.m. and lastly, The Soul Man at 11 p.m.
