Since the Season 2 finale of Scandal, fans have been eagerly waiting to find out what happens next on the popular buzzed-about political thriller. ET pried a few details about Season 3 from Guillermo Diaz and Scott Foley.

Last season of the scandal-filled series ended with a tantalizing cliffhanger. Kerry Washington's crisis management consultant "Olivia Pope" is on a mad hunt to unearth the mole who revealed her affair with the president, "Fitz" (Tony Goldwyn).

As the scandal possesses the White House, Olivia is very close to discovering who leaked the high-profile affair.

While Foley ("Jake"), who plays one of Pope's love interests, and Diaz ("Huck") were vague about Season 3's happenings, they revealed what the arc of Pope's character will contain.

"We're going to find out a lot about Olivia this season...a lot about her history and her relationship with her father," said Foley, who then reminded us of Olivia's shocking scene with her father in the Season 3 finale.

While their preview of the upcoming season remained obscure, the two teased a few enticing elements for viewers to expect.

"There's some characters returning that I don't think people will be expecting to come back," Diaz said. "You're going to see a lot of flashback stuff; you're going to see Huck homeless again and...get another look into his and Olivia's relationship before Olivia Pope & Associates."

Although the specifics are sparse, viewers can expect more astounding drama in the upcoming season, as they revealed that the cast was genuinely bewildered when they read the script at the first table read for Season 3.
