For as many anticipated TV shows as there are in the upcoming fall season, there are also a few new shows that are taking risk, particularly new comedies. ET breaks down the biggest-risk shows of the fall season.

Anticipation has been mounting for comedic actress Anna Faris' TV series in Mom, but the show is a big risk as a new comedy in a TV market that is saturated with well-established comedy series giants.

However, fortunately for Faris and her co-star Allison Janney (The West Wing), Mom is backed by immensely successful comedy series cultivator Chuck Lorre, who boasts top comedies The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men to his name.

Similar to Mom, another star-led comedy series that assumes risk alongside its potential success is Sean Saves the World, featuring former Will & Grace star Sean Hayes.
