On the show, Daphne talks about a summer trip to Europe she took with her husband of three years, John Jovanovic, and says she wants to share a photo. She then pulls out a strip of three sonogram images, surprising co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Clinton Kelly and Carla Hall.

An ABC spokesperson said of the on-air announcement, "Several hosts leapt to their feet to hug and kiss her, a few shed tears of happiness, while Michael Symon proclaimed that he suspected something when she did not have coffee this morning, and Mario joked that the sonogram looks like him."
