Comedy Wears A Badge on FOX's 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

The problem with police procedurals is that they are always so sad and drama-filled. So why not take a look at the lighter side of police work, throw in some of the funniest comedians in the industry, and make a cop show that warms people's hearts?

That is basically what the makers of the upcoming FOX sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine decided to do when they cast Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero and Joe Lo Truglio in their cop comedy. Then, a dash of Andre Braugher for gravitas, and you have yourself one funny sitcom.

ET visited the Brooklyn Nine-Nine set and got a chance to talk to the cast about how the show is going and what it's like working on such a funny set with so many comedic geniuses.

"It's really fun being with people who want to be here," said Crews, who has worked on a number of sitcoms and dramas in the past. "I've had the other experience!... We feel like were like a team. Almost like a basketball team. You get to hand off the right joke, and then somebody goes with the slam dunk. It's just a really refreshing place to be."
