Bollywood's Priyanka Chopra, the Next Big Pop Act

Celebrated Indian film actress and singer, Priyanka Chopra is making a huge splash in the United States with the release of her debut English-language album. To achieve a mainstream sound, the former Miss World enlisted the help of some serious collaborators.

Among them are super-producers Will.i.am, Red One and Pitbull, who recently teamed up with the singer for her latest hit, Exotic.

"He found it really funny because it was Mr. Worldwide and Miss World. So for him it was like 'I found my Miss World'," she gushed. "Any party that you go to you can't not hear [a Pitbull] song. I was really happy that he liked what we made for him."

The single is a taste of what we can expect from her album, which drops later this year. Her music is one that crosses boundaries and breaks stereotypes by incorporating the essence of contemporary pop music and adding some "Bollywood spice."

"It's pop music. But of course I infused it with where I come from," she explains.

The Bollywood stunner also just made her US film debut this summer as the voice of Ishani in Disney's Planes and is currently filming four films back home in India. Despite her hectic schedule, Priyanka says it's nature and Daft Punk's album Random Access Memories that keeps her zen.
