Wendy Williams Gives Makeovers to Cancer Survivors

As a way to show support for October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Wendy Williams Show will be providing beauty makeovers in the coming weeks to women who have been or are currently being treated for breast cancer.

Two women each week will be given high-fashion "head-to-toe" makeovers -- from new wigs to new outfits to new shoes -- throughout October. Each participant will get to keep her new hair and ensemble after strutting the new look on Wendy's own runway.

"We're going to give these women, who have really been through the wringer with their medical treatments, a whole new look," Williams said of the initiative. "We want them to feel strong and positive about their lives. We're going to help with that extra bit of confidence for when they need to go back to work, attend a wedding or even just reconnect with their partner."

To coincide with the month-long project, both The Wendy Williams Show and her company Wendy Williams Hair World will be making donations to the American Cancer Society once the makeovers commence on October 1.
