Tensions Mount as 'The Good Wife' Starts Season 5

Season 5 of CBS's The Good Wife is starting, and this season is going to be filled with some pretty dramatic, life-changing decisions and choices.

The Good Wife follows Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies), the wife of a scandal-ridden state attorney (Chris Noth) who is exposed for political corruption and a major sex scandal. Since Season 1 began with this simple but brilliant premise, the show has blossomed as it focuses on Alicia's career as a lawyer while her husband rebuilds his political capital.

Check out this clip from the premiere of Season 5. Alicia is planning on leaving the law firm she works for to start her own, while at the same time dealing with a man on death row for whom she is trying to get a stay of execution. At the same time, she's dealing with her feelings for longtime co-worker Will (Josh Charles).

Season 5 of The Good Wife premieres September 29 on CBS.
