Exclusive: Go Inside The World of 'Almost Human'

J.J. Abrams has a pretty sterling track-record when it comes to television. Felicity, Lost, Alias, Person of Interest & Fringe all broke the mold in their respective genres and the multi-hyphenate's latest small screen offering is equally exceptional and, once again, groundbreaking.

On November 4, Fox premieres Almost Human, a sensational sci-fi mind-bender executive produced by Abrams and created by Fringe's J.H. Wyman. Set roughly 30 years in the future, it stars Karl Urban as an emotionally and physically scarred police officer who, as the result of a new law, is forced to partner with an android, played to perfection by Michael Ealy.

"One of the things that got me most excited was this notion that these two characters were both broken," Abrams says in ETonline's exclusive featurette. "John mostly human, somewhat synthetic, and Dorian, mostly synthetic, somewhat human. These two characters, without each other, wouldn't exist."
