Appearing on Arsenio Hall's late-night show, Leah Remini hinted that one of her recent dances on Dancing with the Stars was inspired by her experience with Scientology.

For "Most Memorable Year Night" Remini and her professional partner, Tony Dovolani, danced to Katy Perry's uplifting single "Roar," which the former King of Queens actress found an apropos soundtrack to her life.

"The song spoke to me and about what I was going through in my life, but I really dedicated it to anybody who has been controlled or kept down. It could be a relationship; it could be anything," Remini revealed to Hall on Friday night’s episode of The Arsenio Hall Show.

Remini continued to make reference to her decision to exit the Church of Scientology earlier this year, citing her dance as an example of her strength to overcome life's obstacles.

"I want [my daughter] to see her mom make decisions and know that her family's strong, that we're together," she added. "Sometimes you go through a hard time, but you're going to make it through."
