The early renewal announcement for Fox's new supernatural drama Sleepy Hollow was a pleasant surprise to all the show's fans, and Orlando Jones, one of the stars of the popular new series, counts himself among those amazed at Hollow's quick success.
In an interview with ET Canada, Jones revealed that when he initially heard of the renewal, he "thought it was a joke to be honest with you."
Don't mistake his shock for dissatisfaction with the series however, which was the first new show to be picked up for another year.
"The best thing about this show is you have these witches and demons, and it can be really scary," raved Jones, adding, "but what's weird is that two seconds later, you're laughing at something, or you're emotional because Jenny and Abbie are having a fight about their childhood, or Ichabod is missing his wife, Katrina."
"It is that juxtaposition that makes it so interesting," said Jones.
