Fallon & Meyers Get Themselves in a Pickle

January 28, 2014

Jimmy Fallon handed off the Late Night pickle to his successor Seth Meyers on January 28, continuing the talk show's tradition.

The legendary pickle was passed from David Letterman to Conan O'Brien and from Conan to Jimmy.

Jimmy described getting the pickle from Conan, explaining that the prop vegetable came with a note that read, "Whenever you're done -- which won't be for a long time -- make sure you pass it on to the next sap. Knock 'em dead."

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon airs at 12:35 a.m. ET on NBC. Seth debuts his Late Night show on February 24, while Jimmy premieres his Tonight Show on February 17. Watch the video!
