Bruno got a little surprise when Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child (who got on stage with Beyonce a year ago) stood up from the audience to ask a question, and asked if he expected any surprises. "Um, it's cold, that's the surprise," responded the R&B singer from Hawaii. "The microphone turns into a popsicle."

The Grammy winner added that he was "honored" to be asked to perform, "because some greats have been on that stage, and we're just excited that we're getting this shot." Artists that have performed during the Super Bowl halftime in recent years have included Paul McCartney, The Black Eyed Peas, Aerosmith, U2, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Prince and Madonna.
