Behind the Scenes with Stars at the Daytona 500!
February 24, 2014
ET's Rob Marciano was front and center at Sunday's Daytona 500 to catch up with some racing and movie stars, including the event's Grand Marshal, "Captain America" Chris Evans, who officially kicked off the race!
"It was nerve-racking," said the -year-old star of Captain America: The Winter Soldier about being invited to give the opening call to drivers to begin the race. When you show up and you realize that NASCAR is a very passionate subject for a lot of people -- this isn't something to be taken lightly.
Rob also spoke with NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and his wife Samantha, who revealed how she deals with her husband's dangerous profession. "You know, there's a lot of nerves, but you say a prayer and give him a kiss, because I know it's what he loves to do," she said.
While Samantha said she wasn't much of a NASCAR fan before she met Kyle, she's since become a big one. "Now I can tell you everything about the cars and everything else going on in the sport." Kyle even joked, "She even makes some of the pit calls during the race!"
Watch the video for more, including an interview with lovely NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, and to hear country star Luke Bryan's thoughts on performing at his first Daytona 500!
