Kate Gosselin & kids are coming back to TV!

Kate Gosselin and her eight children will make their first return to television in two years in a new special to air this summer.

TLC announced on Tuesday that the still-untitled reality special -- premiering on the network in June -- will focus on how Kate's children have coped with growing up in the spotlight of their hugely popular TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8, which culminated in 2009 with the breakup of Kate's marriage to her husband Jon. The show was later re-branded Kate Plus 8 without Jon, but was cancelled in 2011.

The network describes the show as an update to the current lives of the couple's 9-year-old sextuplets -- Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel -- as well as 13-year-old twins Mady and Cara. "Throughout the special, Kate and the kids get us up to speed on what's changed in the family -- how the kids have grown, what their interests are now, and what the latest is on Kate's life and career."

Kate -- who competed on Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars -- has publicly expressed a desire to return to reality TV for the right opportunity. Jon Gosselin recently appeared on the VH1 reality show Couples Therapy with his girlfriend Liz Jannetta.
