Rumors were swirling earlier this week that Ellen DeGeneres was in talks to take over the Late Show once David Letterman retires, but this funny gal might not be ready to give up her day job.

"I am very flattered but I really love doing my daytime show. And nighttime is very different. There's a lot of political humor, which I don't do," the 56-year-old said, shooting down the rumors.

However, Ellen's still willing to give it a try. "But I feel you don't know if you're good at something until you try it. So I'm gonna see what it would look like if I did do a late night show. So I'm gonna start over. Let's bring out our announcer, Paul, come on out."

That's when the daytime talk-show host took on the role of a late-night host! Do you think she has what it takes to takes to move to nights?
