NBC's hit singing show The Voice has found a new judge, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani!
The 44-year-old singer/songwriter will be sitting down in her very own spinning red chair with Voice vets Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as newcomer Pharrell Williams.
Current judge Christina Aguilera will be taking a break from the show to welcome her new daughter with her fiance Matt Rutler, but will be returning for season 8.
Mark Burnett, executive producer of The Voice, tweeted a confirmation of the news on Tuesday, April 29, writing:
Stefani later posted an Instagram pic of her hand holding a microphone, and throwing up a peace sign in honor of The Voice's famous logo. She captioned the pic, "It's true!"
But it was Aguilera that let the cat out of the bag, tweeting her own congratulations to Stefani on Tuesday morning:
Rumors of Stefani's involvement began swirling earlier this month, with various sources claiming that the singer had already finalized a deal, but no official confirmation was made until Tuesday.
The Voice will return with their new panel of judges in the fall.
