Ryan Seacrest shocked American Idol fans when he took to the stage to sing the Richard Marx classic Right Here Waiting with the singer himself on Wednesday night's season 13 American Idol finale, but what do AI judges Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez really think of Ryan’s singing chops?

"I think that may have been the line in the sand," Harry jokes about the multi-talented Ryan. “I'm not saying that line can’t wash away. It can wash away for a minute, but now I’m drawing the line again. .... Do not cross the line Ryan. As brilliant as you are, leave it to the professionals.”

"Straight to Hollywood," Keith also jokes. "Get a band together. He could go on the road, give up this radio/ hosting stuff. Obviously, singing was what he was born to do."

But on a serious note, Jennifer praised Ryan's willingness to give singing a shot on live TV.

"Ryan's so great at what he does, because he is so unafraid to like, just go there, and create a moment," she says. "He's just awesome at what he does. “

But regardless of Ryan's singing abilities, the AI finale was definitely a hit – 10.1 million viewers tuned in to see Caleb Johnson take the title as the newest "American Idol."
