Fox gave a surprising announcement about the return of the American Idol judges on Monday.
After several seasons of switching out celebrities at the judges' table, the network revealed that Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will all return for the singing show's 14th season.
That's not all! Longtime Idol host Ryan Seacrest will also come back for the next season, which premieres in 2015 on FOX.
"Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I'm thrilled that they are returning to American Idol for another season," said David Hill, Senior Executive Vice President at 21st Century Fox. "Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream."
While fans will get to enjoy the same faces on the judges' panel, the show is shaking things up a bit with the American Idol True Believer reward. After a winner is decided on next season, Idol will give $50,000 to one of the "true believers" that encouraged the winning singer to audition.
Auditions for the singing competition continue in New Orleans, LA on June 25; Uniondale, NY on July 23; Nashville, TN on July 30 and San Francisco, CA on September 29.
Are you happy that all three Idol judges are returning, or would you prefer someone else on the show?
