Calling all PLL fans—get ready to swoon.
Tonight is a huge milestone for ABC Family's hit drama Pretty Little Liars with the premiere of the series' sure-to-be amAzing 100th episode. And although we're eager to see the inevitable twists and turns that are lurking in every scene, we've been waiting to see the return of one particular character for many, many months.
That's right ladies (and gents who secretly love PLL), Tyler Blackburn is back and ready to reprise his fan favorite role as Caleb Rivers, our reformed bad boy with a new ghostly past. ETonline had the pleasure of chatting with the perfect-haired actor, and we've got your exclusive scoop on Caleb's return to Rosewood, his "magnetic" chemistry with Hanna, and what was really supposed to happen in Ravenswood…

First things first, let's get to the goods: We all know that Hanna is currently in a relationship with Travis (even though we haven't seen her so-called beau all season!), but that doesn’t mean that all hope is lost for a rekindled Haleb romance.
"They're meant for each other in so many ways—they're just magnetic," Blackburn gushed of the characters' undeniable chemistry. "That first scene that we shot, it just felt so right, but also it was very strained at the same time."
Not to worry, PLL fans, unlike last season, there won't be any big secrets between these two in tonight's reunion. Hanna will be very upfront, (yet sensitive,) when revealing her current relationship status to Caleb. Unfortunately, this is not the news that our leading man was hoping for, and Blackburn revealed that Caleb will definitely be "kicking himself a little bit" for letting his girl go.

"It kind of shuts him down even more. He was kind of hoping that he would be coming back and have Hanna as a partner because he has just been dealing with so much from Ravenswood and he needs a support system," the 27-year-old actor said. "He's disappointed but he also wants her to be happy."
Blackburn continued, "I can say that each of these characters have changed so much. We've seen their evolution from flirtatiously hating each other in the beginning, to basically the polar opposite and being in young, dumb, love, but this time I feel like they've matured in a lot of ways and their dynamic has changed."
And for those of you who were hoping to see and alpha-male showdown between Caleb and Travis—you might be waiting for a while. "The thing is, before Caleb went to Ravenswood, Travis kind of helped save the day and got Hanna's mom out of jail, so I think that Caleb respects him and kind of allows it to happen."

However, like always, Hanna and Caleb are still very much on the same page. Not only are they both sporting a fresh new 'do, they're also dealing with a lot of internal struggles. "He's dealing with a lot of his own stuff with Ravenswood and everything so he's tortured in a lot of ways," he said. "And when he comes back he recognizes that Hanna is sort of in this dark place and he's in a shared reality with her."
The PLL star also shared that Ravenswood fans will most definitely get some of their most burning questions answered in tonight's hour. "There's definitely some wrap up and some further explanation of what happens after we left off on Ravenswood and I think there's definitely room for more," he said.

So what could've happened if our beloved ghostly drama had continued? Blackburn teased, "Since original Caleb came back and reunited with modern-day Miranda, there were talks of me playing both roles for the rest of the series, which was very cool. That could’ve been really fun and lead to a lot of interesting things having someone from one hundred years prior coming into the real world. The possibilities were endless."
We're just glad that we've finally got present-day Caleb back for good in Rosewood!
Pretty Little Liars' 100th episode airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
