So long Sharpay Evans—Ashley Tisdale is hungry for a more mature role.
The executive producer of ABC Family's new hit comedy, Young and Hungry, is stepping out from behind the camera to guest star on her own series, and she's ready embrace her inner Katy Perry. That's right, Tisdale is kissing a girl on Wednesday's all new episode, but the question is—did she like it?
"I had never kissed a girl before!" Tisdale exclusively dished to ETonline on playing her first lesbian role. "For me I just like to play different characters and push the envelope out of my own comfort level, and this was definitely very different."
Get ready to see the High School Musical actress like you've never seen her before. Tisdale will return to the small screen as Logan, a tatted-up magazine editor who quickly takes a liking to everything Gabi (Emily Osment) is cooking.
Although Gabi is currently crushing on her boss (and is full-fledged member of the We Heart Boys Club) that doesn’t stop Logan from aggressively hitting on the young chef throughout the episode—and sharing a steamy lip-lock!
Tisdale revealed that she was doing her best to channel all of the men who have hit on her over the years, and hopes that fans will believe her portrayal of her new lady-loving character. "For me I always love challenging myself," the 29-year-old actress explained. "I still don’t know if I pulled it off great. Hopefully I did, but it was a lot of fun!"
Young and Hungry airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
