This fall Katherine Heigl is making her grand debut back to TV with her new NBC series State of Affairs.
Described as Scandal meets The West Wing, the upcoming drama revolves around a CIA officer (Heigl), who becomes the president's daily briefer. Heigl's character will assume responsibility for targeting America's most critical threats while navigating the unique lifestyle that comes with such a high-powered job.

However, before Heigl jumps back into the small screen, the 35-year-old actress opening up to ETonline about all the hurtful press that plagued her career after her very publicized departure from Grey's Anatomy in 2010.
"I'm not going to tell you that it doesn’t hurt my feelings," Heigl exclusives revealed to ETonline at the NBC press tour on Sunday. "I'm not going to say that there aren't times that I wonder if they're all right. and I'm all wrong, but I've also realized that it is a business and those sort of stories sell."
