Hank Azaria is joining forces with a Family Guy heavyweight.
The actor, who lended his voice talent to The Simpsons, is going into new animated territory, signing on for the lead voice role in the upcoming FOX animated series Bordertown, according to Variety.
The show, created by Family Guy writer and producer Mark Hentemann, will satirically focus on the political climate of America's border with Mexico and shifting political trends.
Azaria is set to voice Bud Buckwald, a politically incorrect border patrol agent and patriarch of a quirky family. Azaria's family will be played by Family Guy vet Alex Borstein, Missi Pyle and 30 Rock alumn Judah Freidlander.
In The Simpsons, Azaria is best known for voicing bartender Moe Szyslak, Police Chief Wiggum, the Kwik-E-Mart operator Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Comic Book Guy, Cletus the hillbilly, Professor Frink, Dr. Nick, Disco Stu, Duffman and Superintendent Chalmers, among others.
The first season of Bordertown is set to premiere sometime in 2015. Will you watch?
