The two stars are set to lead the TV adapation of the 1970s sci-fi classic.

"Westworld... Where nothing can possibly go worng."

With the ironic brilliance of intentionally misspelling "wrong" in their poster tagline, this 1973 sci-fi thriller about robot cowboys turning homicidal at a Wild West theme park cemented itself as a classic.

Now, the film is getting a modernized reboot on HBO from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot and Jonathan Nolan. They certainly haven't gone "worng" with their recent casting of The Wrestler's Evan Rachel Wood and Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hopkins will reportedly play Dr. Robert Ford, chairman of the amusement park Westworld, who has a radical vision for the future of the park - namely the inclusion of self-aware and hyper-advanced androids.

Woods is set to play Dolores Abernathy, "the quintessential farm girl of the frontier West — who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie."

The series is being described as, "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin."

This would be a return to TV for Wood, who has a recurring role on True Blood and starred in the miniseries Mildred Pierce. However, it would be Hopkins' first foray into being a series regular on any television show.

According to Deadline
, 30 Rock and X-Men star James Marsden is also in talks to take a leading role in the series, but nothing is yet confirmed.
