It seems like every night one of Jimmy Fallon's sketches goes viral, so ET uncovered the method to the late-night madness and the power of The Tonight Show host.
Fallon has kept on top of late-night with about 4 million viewers a night, but he's even bigger on the web. On YouTube, his Tonight Show clips have more than 1 billion views.
"People are kind of expecting that once a week or something he will have something that nobody else has and they're anticipating it and looking forward to it," said New York Times
media reporter Bill Carter. "That's what you need in television now."
But Jimmy can't do it all by himself. The celebs, of course, have to be willing participants.
"It's really smart for these celebrities to play along with the kind of ideas that the staff comes up with," said Carter. "It looks like they have a lot of fun doing it and it's better than just coming on the show and talking about your latest project."
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35C on NBC.
