Mischa Barton totally regrets The O.C.

Though Fox's 2003 hit show The O.C. gave us such unforgettable lines as "Welcome to The O.C., bi*ch," it appears not everyone looks back on the teen drama with such fond memories.

… Including Mischa Barton -- aka Marissa Cooper -- herself.

When asked by Metro U.K. in a recent interview if she'd take up the role again if given the chance today, Mischa got brutally honest.

"Probably not," she said. "It's something I came so close to not doing. I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have but it certainly not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be ... I've kind of seen it all."

Mischa, now 28, famously struggled with personal issues post-O.C. fame.

She was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession in 2007, and sectioned under a 5150 -- which allows a psychiatrist to involuntarily confine a person deemed to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to themselves and others -- for two weeks in 2009.

"It's tough. It's really tough when you are young in this business," she admitted. "People blow a lot of hot air at you. That's the main thing. Keep your head on your shoulders – even when you think your head is on your shoulders, sometimes it isn't!"

Mischa recently made headlines again when news came out that her Beverly Hills, Calif. home has been put in foreclosure -- according to papers, she's nearly five months behind on mortgage payments, leaving her $100,000 delinquent.
