Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria will soon be making her way to the courthouse on the hit FOX comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Longoria, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work on Housewives, is set to play a defense attorney named Sophia, who clashes with Andy Samberg's character Detective Jake Peralta, the network confirmed.
The 39-year-old actress will appear for a three-episode arc set to begin sometime in November. She is one of a number of guest stars set to appear in season 2. Kyra Sedgwick, Terrell Owens, Patton Oswalt and Jenny Slate will also be appearing during the early episodes.
After its first critically acclaimed season, Brooklyn Nine-Nine won two Golden Globes – one for best TV comedy series and the other for Best Actor for Andy Samberg's performance – as well as a Critics Choice Award and two Emmy nominations.
Season 2 of Brooklyn Nine premieres Sunday, September 28 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX. Do you think Longoria is a right fit for the show?
