The Oscar winner showed up on Wednesday's Tonight Show with a little too much beard for Fallon's preferences. "I have one thing to say if you want any advice. Take the beard down just a little bit," the late-night host suggested to Leto.
Agreeing with him, the Dallas Buyers Club star quipped back with a Jesus joke, saying, "Actually, I've been thinking about that. I've been asked to do a lot of resurrections lately. It's tiring."

Fallon then put a barber's bib over the actor and gave him a trim to the delight of the audience.
Leto's beard did however come in handy for Fallon's "Intense Staredown" sketch. The two were dressed in bohemian clothing (chests exposed) as their thoughts were being heard. "I am a sweet, salty Sour Patch Kid. I am a unicorn. Feel my power," Leto said.

Meanwhile, Fallon was considering howling at the moon "but the moon refused to howl back."
On top of all this, Leto and his band 30 Seconds to Mars were also the musical guest on Wednesday's Tonight Show. That's a lot of Leto for the evening!
