New 'Scandal' Promo! Olivia Pope Has Been Located

For the first time in Scandal history, Olive Pope (Kerry Washington) looks at ease.

The first season 4 promo for the ABC drama opens on Pope's empty apartment and office as the phone continually rings. It shouldn't come as a shocker to the gladiators out there that it's President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) on the line.

That's when the question is raised: "Where on Earth is Olivia Pope?"

Surprisingly, the promo cuts to an extreme close-up of sunglasses and we see the woman who wears the white hat sitting on a beach, drinking her trademark red wine.

Scandal's season premiere, titled "Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia", will pick up after the events in the season 3 finale of the show. "Nearly two months after Olivia and Jake boarded a private jet to stand in the sun together, everything has changed," the description reads. "With another four years in the White House, Fitz and Cyrus are doing everything they can to make a positive impact on the nation. Meanwhile, Mellie struggles to cope with the loss of her son and the gladiators feel the impact of Olivia's absence."

Is Olivia done with the D.C. drama after all?Scandal returns Thursday, Sept. 25, in its new time slot at 9 p.m. on ABC.
