Tori Spelling's controversial Lifetime docu-series -- which chronicled how she and husband Dean McDermott dealt with his infidelity and subsequent stint in rehab -- is returning for season two, the network confirmed Thursday.

Fans are in store for eight episodes of True Tori -- which began filming today -- when the show premieres October 21 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime. The series will follow Tori, 41, in near real-time as she "searches for honesty and happiness with Dean." Tori will also address everything from her complicated family relationships to her much talked-about business ventures, all while she struggles to juggle her four kids and salvage her marriage.

True Tori season one featured everything from the 90210 actress getting rushed to the hospital, to her heated fights with Dean, 47.

Dean defended the couple's decision to share their private lives so publicly in July.

"For starters, we've lived a lot of our lives in the public eye, so it just kind of seemed natural -- if that even makes sense," he explained in an interview with E!'s Giuliana Rancic. "And it was an opportunity for us to tell our side of the story ... and to help others who are struggling in their relationship, with their infidelities, alcohol issues, depression ... and infidelity doesn't mean that, 'It's over. The relationship's over.'"
