Kyra Sedgwick guest stars on an all-new Brooklyn Nine-Nine this Sunday night, and we can't wait to see how "The Closer" does with comedy.

In the episode, Kyra plays Deputy Chief Wuntch, archenemy to Andre Braugher's Captain Holt. Even with decades under her belt as an actress, Kyra admitted that it's still challenging to hop in as the new girl with an established show.

"The coming back to TV part is not so weird," said Kyra who's been missing from our TVs since The Closer ended in 2012. "What's weird is being a guest star."

After playing the more serious role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson for seven years on The Closer, Kyra jumped into her comedic guest starring role with both feet -- even pitching a pivotal idea for the episode.

Thanks to actress, her story will use of flashbacks to explain the tension between Deputy Chief Wuntch and Captain Holt.

"I was just so stoked," Kyra said of taking the role. "I hope I get to come back and back."

Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays at 8:30/7:30c on FOX.
