"The coming back to TV part is not so weird," said Kyra who's been missing from our TVs since The Closer ended in 2012. "What's weird is being a guest star."

After playing the more serious role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson for seven years on The Closer, Kyra jumped into her comedic guest starring role with both feet -- even pitching a pivotal idea for the episode.

Thanks to actress, her story will use of flashbacks to explain the tension between Deputy Chief Wuntch and Captain Holt.

"I was just so stoked," Kyra said of taking the role. "I hope I get to come back and back."
