Vampires and werewolves and witches, oh my!

Television's best supernatural series, The Originals, is finally back on our screens tonight and we can hardly contain our blood-pumping excitement. You don’t need to be compelled to see that the chemistry between our original vampire family and their seemingly never-ending list of New Orleans foes created some of the most can't-miss episodes of the 2013-14 TV season and it looks like season two is raising the stakes (Pun totally intended.)

We've already seen the first episode back and we can most definitely confirm that the season two premiere of The Originals is one of the most gripping hours of television we've ever seen. To help get you prepared for a brand-new season of schemes, spells, attacks and wolf packs we sat down with star Charles Michael Davis and he spilled all the gory details you need to know about season 2.

PICS: Exclusive Spoilers on Season 2 of The Originals

The dynamics between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Marcel (Davis) created one of the most compelling relationships of The Originals' first season, and now the tables of power have turned. Davis teases that Marcel has been "humbled" since losing his king of New Orleans' status at the end of season one, and now this season is all about rediscovering his place in New Orleans and his standings with Klaus.

"A little bit of the air has been cleared, so now [Klaus and Marcel] are on different ground and on new terms so we get to see them work together, which is nice especially after the tension of season one," he said. Although it could take quite some time before Klaus and Marcel are BFF's again, Davis promised that the series will continue with their break-neck pace that made the first season so explosively addictive.

In our Fall TV Spoiler Spectacular, ETonline exclusively spilled that fans will also be exploring another failed friendship this season with Marcel and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). Once upon a time, Marcel and Klaus' big brother were actually very close friends, and Davis spilled that he is excited for fans to discover when and why the tides turned through a series of flashbacks.

"It's going to open up that relationship which I wasn't even really aware of or what their backstory is. I just knew that there was some tension there," Davis explained.

And as for Marcel's love-life? Although fans will be treated to a brief roll-in-the-hay rendezvous in tonight's premiere, there is no Rebekah-worthy love on the horizon. However, Davis spilled that Marcel "always keeps a space open for love" and the actor had only one request to the writers in regards to a new potential love interest.

"I said if you do bring in someone, make it so they meet on the same level," he confessed. "Someone who shares that same passion. Someone that actually inspires him and builds him up when he's weak and he's down. Someone that could make a real team if they're together." Aww.. Any takers, ladies?!
