NBC

It's time to drop some Shakespeare-inspired beats!

In ETonline’s first look at next Tuesday’s brand-new episode
of NBC’s About a Boy, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) breaks the exciting news to
his mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and Will
(David Walton) that he landed the coveted role of Romeo in his school's play!

But he won’t be performing the work in its original form as revealed in the clip above. Turns out, Marcus' new English teacher (played by Chris Diamantopoulos) makes the bold choice to turn Shakespeare's iconic work into, wait for it, a rap! Marcus spits out some impressive rhymes, like "Juliet, you're lookin' hotter than the sun" and "Jules, you're my lady, I love you my boo."

Naturally, Fiona is less than impressed by the modern take.

See, she and Marcus have some history with Romeo & Juliet. They started acting out the classic balcony scene when Marcus was just 4 years old! Talk about starting early. Will's bah-humbug reaction to the news? "That's disgusting."

Meanwhile, Will is recruited to build the balcony and after some major hesitation -- he'd rather watch a "Stooge-a-thon" obviously -- he agrees to help Marcus out. But considering the horrified look on his face in the photo above, chances are something goes horribly wrong.

About a Boy airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on NBC.
