We've got a secret — and we just can't keep it!

There's a very special guest coming to Pretty Little Liars this season, and only ETonline has the exclusive scoop.

Fun-Fact: This is not Shepard's first time on the murder mystery series. The bestselling author originally made her Rosewood debut way back in season one as a substitute filling in for Mr. Fitz (Ian Harding).

"It was really fun!" Shepard spilled to ETonline of her second role in the PLL world. "I only had a couple of lines, but I was on the show in the first season. I don’t act, it's not my thing, and I was really nervous that time, but this time around, I felt a lot better about it."

This time, the Pittsburg resident flew out to the PLL set to play a news reporter who will be commenting on the current craziness in Rosewood. Shepard will guest star in episode 24 — the penultimate episode of Season 5 — which is slated to air March 17.

"They were so nice to bring me back. I couldn't believe it," she recalled. "I talked to [executive producer] Marlene [King] and she was like, 'We wrote a part for you!' and I was like, 'You're kidding!' It was so sweet for them to have me back."

Shepard published her first Pretty Little Liars book back in 2006, and now, nearly a decade later, her characters and crazy 'A' antics, have sparked the creation of TV's most social media-savvy series. (More on that later, little liars — so stay tuned…)

"I love going [to the PLL set], it's my favorite place it be," Shepard gushed. "It's amazing. It's like this whole little city of people working on this show, and it's from these books that I just thought were going to be books."
