Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo Are 'So You Think You Can Dance' Judges!

So You Think You Can Dance has set its judging panel!

After serving as a guest judge in 2013, Paula Abdul is returning to the judges’ table permanently in the upcoming 12th season of Fox’s long-running dance competition show.

Abdul is no stranger to the Fox family, having served as one of the original judges alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson on American Idol from 2002-09 and The X Factor in 2011. We’re excited to see her go back to her dancing roots!

Also joining the program as a judge is multi-platinum R&B star Jason Derulo, who voiced his excitement over the new project, and said he hopes to be a vital part in the show’s “new growth and continued success.”

They’ll join long-standing judge and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, as well as longtime host Cat Deeley. SYTYCD vet Mary Murphydeparted the judges’ chair after nearly a decade.

The new season also puts a twist in the season’s format, pitting street dancers against stage dancers!
