Katie Holmes Is Returning to TV!

Katie Holmes is coming back to TV in a season-long role on acclaimed series Ray Donovan.

Holmes, whose breakthrough role cameplaying Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek, will guest star in the Showtime crime drama's third season, set to debut this summer.

Holmes has been cast to play Paige, the shrewd, business-minded daughter of successful producer Andrew Finney, played by Deadwood's Ian McShane.

Ray Donovan, Showtime's second-highest rated drama behind the political thriller Homeland, stars Liev Schreiber as a "fixer" in Los Angeles who is hired by the rich and famous to make their problems go away, often outside the means of the law.

In 2011, Holmes starred as Jackie Kennedy in the miniseries The Kennedys, a role which she is set to reprise in The Kennedys: After Camelot for Reelzchannel.

She is also preparing to enter production on her directorial debut All We Had, and will be appearing opposite Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds and Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany in Woman in Gold, which hits theaters April 3.
