In 1992, the erotic thriller Basic Instinct, starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone, shocked the nation with the infamous interrogation scene, in which Stone uncrosses her legs while being questioned and, for a moment, reveals that she's not wearing any underwear.
The scene became legendary, and spawned hundreds of parodies. However, for possibly the best parody yet, Douglas returned to reprise his role as Detective Nick Curran in this tasteful recreation on The Late Late Show.
And this time, host James Corden, complete with blonde wig and white dress, is stepping into the revealing role played by Stone 23 years ago.
While the late-night host doesn't have quite the same seductive power over Douglas as Stone did in the original, it's clear that Reggie Watts (playing the role originally held by Wayne Knight) is getting into the spirit of things.
Since Corden began hosting The Late Late Show less than a month ago, he's been re-energizing the late-night landscape. Check out ET's interview to see how the British entertainer was getting ready to take on the responsibilities of his new position just hours before his debut episode.
