An ABC Family drama is adding to its ranks.

Nashville
actress Aubrey Peeples has landed a meaty role on Recovery Road, ETonline has exclusively learned.

Based on the popular young adult novel by Blake Nelson, Recovery Road centers on Maddie (Jessica Sula), who has a party girl reputation but doesn't believe she has a problem -- until one day she's confronted by her school guidance counselor (Alexis Carra) and is forced to choose between expulsion and rehab.

Peeples will play the troubled ex-girlfriend of Wes (Sebastian de Souza). Her character will be seen in flashbacks as a beautiful and innocent high school girl only to have her bear absolutely no semblance to her former self in the present day.

Peeples' casting comes at exciting time for the 21-year-old actress, who plays aspiring singer Layla Grant on Nashville and next toplines the big-screen music-centric film Jem and the Holograms. (You can watch the trailer for Jem here.)

Filming has already begun in Los Angeles on Recovery Road, which also stars Sharon Leal, Kyla Pratt, Daniel Franzese and David Witts. It will debut on ABC Family in 2016.
