Fear the Walking Dead, which received a two-season pick up back in March, takes place in Los Angeles just days prior to Rick waking up in the hospital six seasons ago on The Walking Dead. At this time, people aren’t yet in the know about the "strange virus" that has been reported in five states.

AMC also revealed a new trailer following a slew of teasers, but this time we get a better idea of the plot and tone of Fear the Walking Dead.

In the three-minute teaser, you get a very good sense of the world, pre-zombie apocalypse – and things were quite normal. Little do these characters know, their world is about to be turned upside down.

Warning: Things get dreadful fast.
