Trevor Noah's First 'Daily Show' Promo: Get Ready for a 'New Ass'

Jon Stewart has taken his leave from The Daily Show, but his successor Trevor Noah is ready to take his seat behind the iconic desk.

Comedy Central released the first promo for the new, exciting era of The Daily Show, and just to make sure the transition is as seamless as possible for long-time viewers, this tease makes sure to hammer home an important point: "Same chair. Different ass."

The 31-year-old South African comedian, who became a correspondent on The Daily Show in December, was announced as Stewart's successor in March.

Noah is set to take his place behind the anchor desk for the first time on Sept. 28.

Shortly after he was announced as Stewart’s replacement, Noah found himself embroiled in controversy surrounding a number of past jokes the comic made on Twitter that some critics found sexist or racially insensitive.

Stewart responded to critics at the time and defended his replacement in the show, promising, "I can say this, I think, without hesitation: Trevor Noah will earn your trust and respect. Or Not."
