Is Oliver ready to talk marriage with Felicity?!

Arrow
kicks off its fourth season with a ball-buster of a premiere, and the newly retired Oliver (Stephen Amell) has only one thing on his mind: Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). ETonline exclusively debuts this revealing sneak peek from tonight’s episode, and it’s guaranteed to make any “Olicity” fan’s day.

In the scene the couple is enjoying brunch with their Ivy Town friends, the Hoffmans, and Oliver has become quite the chef – slow-cooking eggs to perfection.

“Slow cookers are absolute life-changers,” one of their new friends says, without irony.

Felicity, being Felicity, chimes in with her own two cents in classic Smoak style, total sarcasm.

“I don’t know how that is not a bumper sticker yet,” she says as Oliver gives her a look of befuddlement.

Then the conversation turns to a far more serious topic, and the two simply can’t handle the awkwardness. School waitlists, children … it’s all too much!

“I’m sure kids aren’t too far down the line,” one of the Hoffmans suggests.

“Yeah… we haven’t talked about it,” Oliver says as he forces a smile. Awkward! When Felicity goes away to fetch some more mimosas (alcohol cures all!), that’s when Oliver reveals the massive rock he plans on putting on her finger.

The Hoffmans can’t help but gush over the bling, and Arrow fans will be happy to know, the ring has sentimental value.

“It’s my mother’s,” Oliver tells his suburban friends. Excuse us while we cry in the corner – R.I.P. Moira!

Oliver’s proposal plan was a way to signify how serious his relationship with Felicity has become. Marc Guggenheim, co-showrunner of Arrow, gave credit to executive producer Greg Berlanti for greenlighting the idea in the first place.

“It came out of something that Greg had said – ‘I wish there was some way we could dramatize where their relationship was,’ and [co-showrunner] Wendy [Mericle] and I were like, ‘Well…,’” Guggenheim recalls.

As for Felicity’s sense of humor this season, it’s back “with a vengeance,” Guggenheim promises. “[Emily]’s just on the top of her game. She is hysterical. We’re definitely writing jokes for her but she’s also finding humor in lines that weren’t intentionally humorous. She’s really dialed in.”
