Alek Skarlatos' 'DWTS' Injury Update: His Nose Had to Be Pushed Back Into Place!

Dancing With the Stars competitor Alek Skarlatos hurt his nose just hours before last night's episode, but he nevertheless powered through the pain to perform.

The injury took place as Skarlatos was rehearsing with pro Emma Slater, his temporary partner for Switch-Up Week. Skarlatos took an accidental elbow to the face from Slater, who hit him so hard that he actually needed to someone to push his nose back in place.

While Skarlatos told ET that he's not sure if it was broken, it definitely feels different.

"It kind of wiggles a little on this side when I touch it," Skarlatos revealed.

Skarlatos' toughness should come as no surprise after he made headlines in August for helping stop a terrorist attack on a train bound for Paris. Still, Slater said she felt like "the worst ever" after the incident.

"Dancing is a dangerous sport," she said.

This is a lesson DWTS pro Derek Hough learned the hard way. Last season, Hough hurt his foot and spent a night in the emergency room, but that wasn't even his scariest dancing accident.

"In competition I bit my tongue in half," Hough told ET. "It was dangling down, blood was flowing down my rhinestone shirt. It was pretty crazy."
