The Wiz Live! eased on down the road to some incredible ratings!
NBC's latest live musical production bewitched 11.1 million viewers on Thursday night and delivered an impressive 3.3 rating among adults 18-39, according to fast nationals.
The hyper-color musical offered many sensational moments during the broadcast. (And you can relive them all here!) From a whirlwind of impressive visual effects, to the stunning costumes, and the mind-blowing performances -- it's no wonder why it was such a success.

In comparison, The Wiz Live! crushed last year's production, Peter Pan Live!, which only snagged 9.2 million viewers and a soft 2.4 rating.
Apparently viewers would rather spend their night with Uzo Aduba, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, and the rest of the star-studded cast, instead of watching Christopher Walken's cringe-worthy Captain Hook dance sequence.
However, both The Wiz Live! and Peter Pan Live! pale in comparison to NBC's inaugural end-of-the-year musical, 2013's The Sound of Music Live!. The Carrie Underwood-starring production still holds the top spot with, which had about 19 million viewers and a 4.6 rating.
