So much for turning over a new leaf!

Only five days into 2016, Ellen DeGeneres has already broken her New Year's resolution that she "was not going to mess with Matt Lauer anymore."

Last year, the two went back and forth with pranks. In April, Ellen had Lauer's head photoshopped onto the body of a naked man shaving on a couch after Lauer filled her car with 20,000 ping-pong balls.

In Ellen's latest joke at Lauer's expense, she had his Adele interview recut to make it seem as if he got a little too handsy with the British singer.

"I guess the war is back on," Today show anchor Carson Daly said after playing the clip from Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "What are you going to do now?"

Lauer proposed that he might have to "go back to billboards," referring to the time he had billboards erected around Los Angeles of Ellen advertising a plumbing service.

Lauer isn't the only one to have fallen victim to Ellen's prank wrath. She's also been in a heated contest of hilarious hijinks with her wife, Portia de Rossi. Check out the video below for more.
