The Bachelorette
has a new resident “douche”: Chad Johnson, the 28-year-old luxury real estate agent no one seems to like.

On Monday’s Bachelorette, Chad was seen getting confrontational with another suitor, Alex Woytkiw, a 26-year-old U.S. Marine, and threatening violence after the two got into a heated argument. “Keep that up, you’re going to lose your damn teeth!” Chad yelled, adding that Alex “should be” afraid.

Following Monday’s explosive episode, Chad took to Instagram to defend himself to Bachelorette fans.

“I’m not violent,” Chad wrote, attempting to assure the fanbase, “but I will stand up for myself, being as I, like everyone else, do not like being harassed and bullied.”

Bachelorette
JoJo Fletcher, whom Chad is attempting to win over this season, reacted to his volatile behavior.

“Chad is a complex guy with complex emotions. And I know he means well,” the 26-year-old wrote in a new blog post. “But he really shouldn’t be threatening other guys. That’s not cool. What’s going to happen next with the guys? Well, I can tell you now that what’s coming up is – to go to the Bachelor lingo – quite possibly ‘the most dramatic episode in Bachelor history.’”

The Bachelorette
airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
