Flockhart was a series regular on Supergirl’s first season, which filmed in Los Angeles, where she is based. With production now relocated to Vancouver, Flockhart will be scaling back her time on the show and will be featured as a recurring guest star this fall.

The 51-year-old actress begins filming in Vancouver next week. It is unclear the number of episodes Flockhart will appear in.

"Supergirl wouldn't be Supergirl without the amazing Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant. We are so excited Calista has agreed to continue on the show when she can,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “We and the audience love to see her on screen.”
